he's making a list, checking it twice...

So Penny and her friend, Buddy, got to meet Santa this last weekend and have their picture taken with him at the Escondido Humane Society (see post below). It was so much fun and the pictures turned out great.

Penny and Buddy have been very good this year, so I suspect Santa will be bringing them what they asked for!

On Saturday, December 4th the Escondido Humane Society will be holding an event where your pet can get their photo taken with Santa! How fun! Their website says, "Santa himself will be making a special visit to the Escondido Humane Society to bring good tidings and holiday cheer to animals in need at our Pet Photos with Santa and Holiday Boutique. Whether naughty or nice, all pets can meet Santa and have their photo taken with him. Those who don't have pets but still want to bring joy to homeless animals can stop by our Holiday Boutique and bake sale, where gifts for dogs and cats and homemade presents for people and pets will be available. Canine Companions for Independence graduation ceremony will be held this Saturday, November 13th at Noon in Oceanside. Graduations are open to the public and admission is free. Their website explains, "Canine Companion's graduation ceremonies occur four times a year. At these inspiring events, people with disabilities graduate with their new, highly-trained assistance dogs. These dogs have been in training for over two years and know approximately 50 commands including opening doors, turning on/off lights, and retrieving dropped objects. The graduation ceremony is the culmination of an intensive, residential, two-week Team Training course with these new human/canine partners at the Canine Companions Southwest Regional Training Center in Oceanside." Penny's cousin is a CCI doggy! He is so smart and sweet, and is such a gift to the people he serves!
